What Are The 12 Laws of The Universe?
The 12 universal laws are some intrinsic, unchanging laws of our universe that ancient cultures have always intuitively known.
These Laws of the Universe are usually associated with the Ho’oponopono teaching which originated from ancient Hawaiian culture.
What gets me goosebumps is that…
7 of these laws were also found in the Hermetic philosophy from Ancient Egypt back in 100 AC. (1900 years ago!!)
These immutable laws have withstood the test of time and they literally work like cheat codes in real life where you can master your life with more love, joy and abundance!
Let’s dive in right now!
- Law of Divine Oneness
- Law of Vibration
- Law of Correspondence
- Law of Attraction
- Law of Inspired Action
- Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
- Law of Cause and Effect
- Law of Compensation
- Law of Relativity
- Law of Polarity
- Law of Rhythm
- Law of Gender

1. Law of Divine Oneness:
The Law of Divine Oneness states that everyone and everything in the universe are all connected to each other.
We are all one.
Not only we are spiritually connected together, but our actions, our thoughts and our emotions are connected and impact everything else in some ways as everything is energy.
Everything we do has a butterfly effect and affects the collective consciousness.
In other words, everything you do to others, you are actually doing it to yourself.
So, to practice the law of Divine Oneness, it is always good to remember:
- Everything I want, I want it for everyone.
- There is no competition, there is only co-creation.
2. Law of Vibration:
The Law of Vibration states that everything in the universe is in constant movement and is vibrating at specific frequency.
The only difference between one object/status and another is the rate of vibration, which is frequency.
Understanding the Law of Vibration gives us the awareness that we have the ability to change our vibration no matter which frequency we are vibrating at.
And, if we can raise our vibration higher spiritually, we are able to manifest things or experience that are in a higher frequency deliberately.
For example, Love, Abundance, Happiness, health and freedom… etc.

3. Law of Correspondence:
The Law of Correspondence states that what happens around us, is a direct reflection of what is happening within us.
That said, our internal world creates our own reality.
“As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul…”
― Hermes Trismegistus
On a personal level, our reality is a mirror of what’s happening inside of us at that moment.
To practice the law of correspondence, we can bear in mind the most fundamental Ho’oponopono teaching:
“Take 100% responsibility for your own life.“
And remember:
If anything ‘bad’ happened, it happened FOR us, not TO us.
Every challenge we face in our life is a chance for us to clean up our negative beliefs, so we can receive more love, more happiness and more wealth.
4. Law of Attraction:
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like and you attract what you are.
This law is highly correlated to the Law of Vibration as we attract what we are vibrationally and emotionally.
With that being said…
… if you want to attract or manifest something you don’t have, you need to first tune your vibration as you already have it, and to feel the feeling that you are already having it.
For example, if you want to use the Law of Attraction to manifest more money into your life, you can visualize yourself already having the money and feel how it feels to possess that money.

5. Law of Inspired Action:
The Law of Inspired Action states that you have to take actionable inspired steps to manifest what you want.
Inspired action generally derived from your inner knowing.
Let me ask you this:
Have you ever feel like there was a gut feeling or internal nudge to urge you to do something, no matter if it is making sense or not?
That’s an inspired action!
To use the Law of Inspired Action, you need to surrender to the guidance of the Universe, let go of control and listen to the call of your inner knowing.
You can also practice meditation or any other spiritual practice that could raise your vibration to trigger the process.
6. Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy:
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy decrees that energy is always moving, transforming and evolving.
This law reminds us that manifestation is a never-ending journey. There is never an endgame or a finishing line for anybody in this world. (Not even dying)
It also tells us that our thoughts, emotions and desires are always flowing as a form of energy and transmute into existence, no matter if they are good or bad.
Thus, to better use this law, we better always keep ourselves in a higher vibration and always focusing on what we want instead of what we don’t want.

7. Law of Cause and Effect:
The Law of Cause and Effect – also called The Law of Karma – states that every effect there is a cause, physically and mostly vibrationally.
Your thoughts, emotions and actions or whatever you put out in the universe emanate specific vibrational frequency, which creates a specific effect that matches that frequency.
That being said, a good result must come with a good vibe.
To truly harness this law, you should always pay attention to how you feel while you are doing or planning to do something.
- Does it make you happy doing this?
- Do you feel enthusiastic doing this?
- Are you enjoying the process?
If you don’t feel good about what you are doing but you can’t drop it, try your best to find another way to do it with slightly more enjoyment.
8. Law of Compensation:
The Law of Compensation, from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay, “Compensation”, states that a person will always be compensated for his/her EFFORTS and CONTRIBUTIONS, no matter what the effort, how much or how little.
For example, when we talk about the money we make, according to Bob Proctor’s explanation, the amount of money you earn always equals to the exact ratio of:
- The need of what you do.
- Your ability to do it .
- The difficulty in replacing you.
In other words, when we use the Law of Compensation, we have to always consider the VALUE of what you do.
If you can always strive to provide the highest quality of work or services, you will always be rewarded accordingly.

9. Law of Relativity:
The Law of Relativity states that everything in our world has meanings only because we tend to compare one thing to another.
Because of that, we can always see contrast from things that we don’t have and things that we want.
By knowing the Law of Relativity, we understand that there is no absolute good or absolute bad situation. There is only relatively better or worse in different perspectives.
And the best thing is…
We can always adjust our own perspective to see the relatively better side of one subject.
10. Law of Polarity:
The Law of Polarity states that every subject has two poles: Good & bad. Rich & poor. Healthy & sick. Love & hatred.
But if we look at it in a vibrational energy perspective, every subject is really about having adequate energy and the lack of it.
Think about this:
- Darkness is only a matter of the absence of light.
- Poverty is the absence of abundance.
- Sickness is the absence of health.
- Hatred is the absence of love.
Now, this is big if we can leverage this knowledge…
- To get rid of darkness, you don’t found solution in the dark. Instead, you turn on the lights.
- To get rid of poverty, you don’t focus on the reasons that make you poor. You learn how to make money from the riches.
- To get rid of sickness, you don’t study diseases. You study healthy diets & exercises that could rejuvenate your body.
- To stop the spread of hatred, you spread love.

11. Law of Rhythm:
The Law of Rhythm states that everything in this universe is cyclical. Seasons, economy, stages of life… everything.
The most successful and wealthiest people in the world tend to understand this law and are able to capture great fortune just by following the cycle but not the opposite of it.
To use the Law of Rhythm, we should always surrender to the force of life and stay humble, so we can observe and sense where life is going to take you to.
12. Law of Gender:
The Law of Gender states that the energy of feminine and masculine exists in all things.
Everyone should embrace the characteristics of both the feminine and masculine sides of themselves and others.
So many people only accept one side of their gender because society labeled who they are by how they look.
And guess what?
They repel the other side of their characteristic so much that they would always feel a sense of incompleteness, dissatisfaction and unacceptance of who they really are.
So, how can we use this law better?
Always accept who you are. Don’t reject yourself. Always love yourself.
And remember, no one can define you outside of you.
