What Is Manifestation?
In the simplest terms, manifestation is the process of bringing something into reality.
It is often emphasized to be a process of:
- Using your will-power to focus on your desires.
- Aligning your thoughts and emotions.
- Believing that it will be manifested.
… And you take over all the control of your own life.
Even if it is not exactly like this, at least so many manifestation teachings out there are trying to brand and market it in this way.
With my 10+ years of learning and practicing manifestation, I was like most of the people that I wanted to mold my reality with my own hand.
I wished that I could be the one who created my own reality.
But guess what?
After a few successes and uncountable failures…
…I finally realized that it really isn’t about taking all the control.
Instead, it’s more about losing it.
Here’s why:
Every time when I wanted something so badly and for so long, it would always manifested right after I decided to give up.
Yup, I simply let go and let God.
(Or Divine Spirit / Universe, whichever fit your religion)
Believe it or not…
… once I let go of control, things would always work out for me miraculously.
Even though I am not a Christian, I could truly feel that the ‘God’ part is underrated in the mainstream manifestation teachings.
So…
For me, the manifestation process looks like this:
- Focusing on my desires.(1%)
- Aligning my thoughts and emotions. (1%)
- Let go and let God. (98%)
Yup, God does most of the work behind the curtain.
All I do is to figure out what I really want and raise my vibration by aligning my thoughts and emotions to match with the vibrational frequency.
And then things will always happen in their own way.
With that being said…
The concept of manifestation, though seemingly modern, resonates with many teachings in the Bible…
… particularly those connected to faith, prayer, and the power of the surrender.

Is Manifestation A Sin?
When we examine the concept of manifestation in relation to Christianity, we must first acknowledge the centrality of God’s sovereignty.
In the perspective of Christians, God is the creator and sustainer of all things.
Therefore, any manifestation should not be seen as us creating our reality independently.
Instead, it is a process of aligning our life purposes with God’s will for our lives.
This perspective does not entirely dismiss manifestation as a non-Christian practice.
Instead, it reframes it, aligning it with biblical teachings.
In this context, manifestation becomes less about self-focused desires and more about seeking God’s plan for our lives.
Now:
If we look into the basic concept of the Law of Attraction and the Law of Vibration…
… Manifestation is actually a natural and autopilot process that reflects our beliefs, thoughts and emotions.
That said…
Manifestation could happen by itself with or without our deliberate focusing 24/7.
If we think good thoughts mostly, we tend to manifest more good things.
If we think negative thoughts mostly, we tend to manifest more bad things into our life.
Another thing is…
… We can only manifest for ourselves.
We could neither manifest anything good nor bad for others.
If you possess a hatred thought towards someone, you will only attract more hate to yourself.
On the contrary, if you wish the best for other people with love and blessings, you will attract more love and blessings to yourself.
No wonder the Bible said:

Manifestation of God: What Does Scripture Say?
God’s Manifestation in the Bible
Scripturally, God is often depicted as revealing or manifesting Himself to His creation.
For instance, in Exodus, God manifests His holiness among the Israelites, making His presence known to the nations.
Similarly, in Ezekiel, God manifests His glory as a way of asserting His lordship.
In these instances, manifestation is about God unveiling His divine character and power.
It’s not about us manifesting our desires, but about the Almighty God revealing His divine nature and plans.
Jesus Christ and Manifestation
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ embodies God’s manifestation.
Through His teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection, Jesus made the love and grace of God evident to humanity.
For instance, in John 14, Jesus promises to manifest Himself to His disciples by sending the Holy Spirit who would guide them in truth.
Through the Holy Spirit, believers experience the manifestation of Christ’s presence, power, and love.
Moreover, Jesus taught His followers to pray for their needs, promising that God would answer prayers made in faith.
